About Peace of Life Peace of Life is a Japan-based community, founded in 2019, devoted to a single inquiry: reading the Buddha’s awakening and the findings of modern physics as two accounts of one reality — an answer to the question of who caused the Big Bang, and why we are here. Led by the teacher and author ZEN Master Ken, it gathers several hundred members through the year for lectures and residential retreats at historic venues across Japan, among them the Imperial Hotel and the grounds of Meiji Jingu. On 1 November 2026, ZEN Master Ken will deliver a formal Dharma talk at the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, India — the first by a Japanese teacher at the site of the Buddha's enlightenment.

Biography — full version to be added ZEN Master Ken is the teacher and guide of Peace of Life — described in his books as an extraordinary figure who realized ZEN in its perfection, and beyond. His teaching joins the Buddha’s awakening with the language of modern physics, and translates both into a practice for daily life. He is the author of more than ten books in Japanese, including a title that reached number one on Amazon Japan. Two of his works appear in English in 2026 for readers in twenty countries, with three further titles written originally in English in preparation.
